Salary Structure

There will be a new salary structure in place for teachers joining from January 2025. . There will now be one salary scale instead of being divided into Honours and Non-honours. The scale will also reach a higher upper limit of
B$5750 = 4254$ (USD)
but at certain levels (level 4/5 and level 7/8) teachers will need to submit a portfolio of evidence in order to progress to the next grade.

Vacancies for January 2025

At this time of the year the teachers give their intentions as to whether they wish to leave or in January or renew contract. We also need to obtain feedback from their managers and from the MoE. We expect that there will be around 15-20 vacancies in January though the deadline for teachers to sign their new contract is in September. We are accepting applications from all nationalities but we will be prioritizing interviews from other eligible nationalities.

Teaching in Brunei:
Typically 2-3 international primary or secondary teachers are assigned to each Brunei government school where they lead their own classes and work along side local teachers as part of the school’s faculty. English is the primary language of instruction in Brunei’s school system.
